OSCAR NIGHT! Woohoo!

I am glancing and dreaming of all the fancy fabulous jewels being worn on the red carpet!
Okay- I am taking a little tv watch break and will soon be back to painting. I have been painting birdhouses and darling little eggs...inspired wisdoms, words! I love inspired words! Think positive-always!
I am reading many books about visualization-all good-what to be, what to dream and reach for!
Love, life, kids, dogs, the adoration of a loving man ( sometime soon I HOPE!), art, doing and making lots of art, making jewelry, making love, making of MY authentic self...the best I have ever been! A friend recently told me to dream big, well I am and not going to give up. I really want all of the projects I am working on to come together-this-is what makes me happy.
Back to work now....ta ta.

A girl and her jewels! Bangles!!!!

Okay- I decided that since I adore gems and jewels- I should learn to make some for myself and lovely supportive family and friends. Fun and KA-CHING! I have done a lot of soldering (thank you for teaching me D) and now the Metalsmithing! This is so fabulously exciting....I MADE MY OWN STERLING BANGLES...really, I did! Yesterday in class I made my own bezel and will be setting an Amethyst. I can't wait to complete this charm for my bangle- did you know the Amethyst is a healing stone? It is my middle sons birthstone too! He is a healer in my life- soothes my heart. My teacher is fab and I love to get up and learn about soldering with torches and building wonderful designs that are my creation. The medallion I made is an abstract to represent my sons, I am so proud of all that I am learning. I would love to make and sell my bracelets someday! I will visualize this! I am thankful for creativity in my life each day!

To Create Fabulous Art...

To create fabulous art, you need a lot of creativity, imagination and massive amounts of supplies. Today I bid on and won a really great Glamour girl postcard to use in much of my collage/art projects. Can't wait to get it in the mail-she is lovely! I will be able to use this image a lot in my art!!!! Been checking on lots of French cards too.
I am painting lots of Springy Birdhouses this weekend. I also promised my friend Laurie that I
'd make her a wonderful white and sparkly Easter tree for her tabletop or mantlescape! This will be bright and oh so cute.
Oh boy, the aqua eggies with word inspirations are so darling and will make really nice gifts to lots of friends and family.
I have been working so hard on my art/jewelry. I am working on filling a first order on my Etsy account(very excited!). I hope it all works out well. I am also writing to a few different boutique owners ...shops I have been in and enjoy...I am crossing fingers and visualizing great retail orders being filled! Hey, a girl can work hard-dream- and watch it all come true!
It is sometimes difficult for me to upload my art to Etsy cause I took the photos with too many pixels and the files are huge, I am hoping my son Danny can help me get the new goodies uploaded tonight!
Did I mention that I am happiest doing art! I am happiest near my boys and doggies! Well, I am one lucky ducky.  The art, boys and dogs mmmmm...I am so blessed! I wear the boys and doggies on my necklaces and I do take special orders.
Well back to mixing paint!

February Frenzy!

Hello all fellow art lovers! I have had a fast paced past few days. Last Friday I went to my metalsmithing class (Leslie is a great teacher!) and wow, it was great. I am absolutely loving working with the metals! I have already completed a wonderful organic design pierced into Sterling Silver and soldered the back to the arched top piece, this entire piece took several classes to complete. I love it! We also blackened the inside to give depth, I am very proud of this first effort. My son said the design I created would be  a great new symbol for our family. My design is an abstract of three branches sprouting their leaves-hence one branch per son in the design! Anyway, I think my guys are amazed at what I am learning! I adore bracelets...I MADE my own CUSTOM sterling silver bangles on Friday-holy cow...they are great! I am so excited for this next Friday because we will learn to bezel set stones as charms for the bangles!!!!! This class makes me pay attention and gets my attention...what girl wouldn't want to know how to make her own jewelry? Well, this lil gal is learning and so happy to be. I do find myself smiling alot when I am there, so I believe I am being authentic to part of my art media dream pursuit! I will keep you posted on the progress in that class-thanks Leslie for all of your kindness and support!
I met Denise at the Lakewood Antique Market on Friday after Deb and I went to class. I bought some old sheet music-Dvorak (my sons studied him in music appreciation at college last year) and a fabulous little drawer that had no place or purpose! Hmmm. I will find some way to use and alter the boxy drawer further.
I came home and began making "knob hangers" and charms for St. Patty's Day, so lovely, I added beads and beautiful hand dyed silk ribbon that I bought at Grosgrain Annies at the Lakewood Market. Her ribbons are so wonderful- the colors and soft texture is really nice. One day I hope to learn how to dye my own ribbon-I would love to make my own colors! I love color!
I brought the other little pieces I made to the booth and walked around, complimented other fabulous booths and came home in a big storm.
Tomorrow I will work on some other larger altered art piece and upload new product photos and descriptions to my Etsy shop.
Oh, I did sleep and eat and hug a few kids during the process of the weekend.
Art is wonderful! Lots to do...be back soon! Hugs and Kisses to all my artsy pals.
I made a sale at my booth at Q of H over the weekend, I hope that trend keeps up because I am so busy but really enjoying the work I am doing! So thanks to whoever bought one of my pieces, it makes me happy that someone else loves what I do.  Hope something sells on my Etsy sight soon too!
I went with a friend and took pictures of the "Sassy" booth today and will hopefully get some posted over the next few days. I stayed and straightened up, we do get lovely compliments which is also very nice.

Be MIne!

Happy Valentines Day! I am working on some wonderful St. Patricks Day charms today. I am collecting things to begin a fabulous inspired visualization shrine, can't wait to be able to put it together. My friend Denise will feature some of my charms on her blog or Etsy shop. I am really inspired by her, good friend and teacher...her blog is Funkytimeart.blogspot.com and her Etsy shop is Alphaneenee! Stop and see her lovely things.
Capture lots of kisses and hugs today! Be kind and smile at everyone, you never know when it might be exactly what the stranger in the coffee or grocery line needs!
Remember good Valentines karma baby. Kisses.

Dreaming of the Pink House by Pammyt

My first blog, this is so exciting! I am continuing the artistic adventure that I had set aside for several years. This is liberating! In this freedom to just be-me, happy me, I recall lovely days, creating art in an inspired place of my own, that Daddy built. It was in this pink house that my imagination, creativity and dreams began to develop. Thank you Daddy! Isn't that great, he literally built the foundation for me- to stand on, to stand in, to be a part of ME-my ART- hmm, this is where I would always feel happiness and love. Wow.  Honoring those who believed in me, Pink House Studio. Beginnings are GREAT! I love to say I am an Artist. I love the altered art, mixed media, collaging on canvas. I have been working so very hard to continue spreading love through my art.
I now am a third of the "Sassy" booth in Queen of Hearts in Alpharetta Georgia. My pals Deb and Denise are very talented ladies and I am so grateful to have them as art/jewelry buddies. We have taken Metalsmithing classes together., mentors, inspirational women. I have made and am selling, little altered birdhouses, glittered birdies, collaged boxes, fabulous necklaces that I solder (they feature my artwork and vintage images), journals with my original paint and papers collage art images. It is true that you can work very hard at something you love and not even know the time has passed. Lost in art and inspiration.  It is so true! My art and jewelry can be found at Pammyt.etsy.com
I have been so blessed. Beginnings, make them exactly what you want them to be!
Thankyou to all of you who have encouraged and supported me in this dream I am creating and making come true! I want this!
Special thanks to my three darlings, Momma loves you!
